Big News!!!!

MAFA-NY Attorney, Patti Finn, has been granted a full-panel review by the United States Supreme Court regarding the NYPD case, Marciano vs. Adams!

This lawsuit is against the vaccine mandate for municipal employees and was originally filed in December of 2021. You can read the complaint HERE, the 213 page Emergency Application to the Supreme Court HERE, and the petition HERE.

To get a better idea of how significant this is, here is an excerpt from the Supreme Court website concerning these types of cases:

“Parties who are not satisfied with the decision of a lower court must petition the U.S. Supreme Court to hear their case. The primary means to petition the court for review is to ask it to grant a writ of certiorari. This is a request that the Supreme Court order the lower court to send up the record of the case for review. The Court is usually not under any obligation to hear these cases, and it usually only does so if the case could have national significance, might harmonize conflicting decisions in the federal Circuit courts, and/or have precedential value. In fact, the Court accepts 100-150 of the more than 7,000 cases that is asked to review each year.

Congratulations to Patti Finn for this remarkable achievement!

October 7th is the date – so stay tuned!
